School visits are an integral part of the education of children at Thackley Primary School. We value the opportunities such visits offer our pupils and the commitment of staff and adults undertaking them.
Throughout school children will be invited to take part in school trips. These may include class visits linked to their topic, extracurricular outings such as activities with the school choir or residential trips in KS2. Our residentials include Whitby in Year 4, Robinwood in Year 5 and Year 6 to go to London.
Past class day trips have included visits to The Deep, Nell Bank, Eden Camp, the zoo and Skipton Castle.
It is school policy that we ask all parents and carers for a voluntary contribution towards the cost of the trip. However, as a school we do subsidise trips wherever possible through school funds or contributions from the PTA. We have also been known to fund raise in school to also help raise extra money and therefore reduce the cost of trips for parents.
